With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I've been wanting to kick my lip balm game up a notch. I was constantly using the same tube of lip balm day after day, and although I love it beyond words, I just had an itch to try some more options. I received the loveliest PR package last week with a few different natural lip balms, so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to share my thoughts. I've been after a good natural lip balm for ages because I love that they just use natural oils and butters to hydrate and soften the lips.
Meow Meow Tweet Vegan Lip Balm* | This is my favorite of the four featured here because it has the best consistency and longevity for my preferences. It uses cocoa butter, olive oil, and coconut oil to hydrate and repair dry lips. It has a lovely cushion-y texture that feels ultra-hydrating on the lips. I was sent the Tangerine Lime scent, and now I'm tempted to try the other two scents as well as the unscented version.
Soapwalla Lip Locked Coconut Lime Lip Balm* | I really like this one because of its unique shape - it's an oval instead of the usual circle, so it's easy to apply to the lips without going outside the lip line. This one mainly uses avocado oil and coconut oil as well as Vitamin E to hydrate the lips. This one gives long-lasting hydration, and the consistency is a little bit thinner than the Meow Meow Tweet option.
Love + Sage Mint Condition Lip Balm* | I love a good minty lip balm to feel refreshed throughout the day, and this one is a new favorite. It conditions the lips with avocado oil, coconut oil, and shea butter, and is scented with mint, sage, and eucalyptus. The scent is very subtle but still very relaxing. This one feels ultra soothing on the lips, so it's perfect after a long day of wearing a matte lipstick.
Captain Blankenship Rosy Red Lip Balm* | This last option is absolutely perfect for Valentine's Day because it has a subtle red tint that leaves the lips looking flushed and beautifully stained. It uses shea butter, cocoa butter, jojoba oil, and Vitamin E to nourish the lips, as well as beet root and gromwell root extracts for the red tint. I love using this on both the lips and cheeks for a super natural, dewy flush.
What's your favorite lip balm? Have you tried any of these natural brands?
