A couple weeks ago I got a super exciting PR package from Pixi Beauty containing most of their face mists. I'm all about face mists lately - being someone with quite dry, dehydrated skin, face mists are super nice pick-me-ups throughout the day. I had only tried two of the four mists sent (and only owned one), so I was chomping at the bit to hop in and try them all.
Hydrating Milky Mist | I already had and loved this one, and it's still my favorite of the bunch. It contains hyaluronic acid to plump up the skin as well as black oat, linoleic acid, and provitamin A to hydrate and soothe. It makes such a lovely base for makeup, and I find it's a pretty good alternative to the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist. It really hydrates my skin without feeling sticky or greasy and gives it a subtle luminosity.
Glow Mist | This is the other mist I had previously tried, although I did not have it in my collection until now. It's basically magical - it instantly makes the skin look so much brighter and glow-ier. It contains thirteen natural oils as well as propolis, aloe vera, and fruit extracts to protect and hydrate the skin. It also sets makeup. If you have dull skin, this is definitely the one for you. Again, it's not sticky or greasy and is perfect before and/or after makeup.
Makeup Fixing Mist | I'm drawn to this purely because of the color, but this is now my makeup setting spray of choice - I've been reaching for it over my MAC Fix+. It contains rosewater and green tea to both hydrate and balance the skin, ensuring your makeup doesn't get cakey or greasy. It's like misting a soft veil onto the skin - it helps powders melt into the skin and leaves you looking airbrushed. I've found it really does make my makeup last longer, too!
Vitamin Wakeup Mist | This mist was totally new to me - I had only just seen it in Target a few days before I received this package. I keep this at my bedside now to immediately spritz on when I wake up. As the name suggests, it's super energizing! The mist is made of an orange blossom water base enriched with citrus fruit extracts, lavender, and arginine to hydrate and strengthen. It has a light citrus scent that's a perfect pick-me-up for early mornings. It leaves my skin looking and feeling so much "peppier" if that makes sense. If you're looking for a refreshing mist to tone your skin in the morning, this is it.
Have you tried any of Pixi's face mists? I really want to try their new Sun Mist next!
