I think just about everyone can now agree how important it is to have some cozy clothes you love. With all this extra time spent at home during the pandemic, being extra cozy has become a necessity for me to keep myself sane! I’m sure you can agree - I’m much happier at home when I’m wearing something super comfy. And since it’s going to become even more important as the days get shorter and colder, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites that I’ve been wearing on repeat.
Lou & Grey Signature Softblend Sweatpants & Sweatshirt - This is the set that started it all. I got it back in the spring when everyone was clamoring for matching loungewear sets. This ended up being one of the only brands that had matching colors of both pieces still in stock in my size, so I snatched it up. And I’m glad I did! The material is buttery soft - like I seriously have never felt any clothes this soft before. They’re warm, but not too hot, and they’re on the thinner side, so they’re very comfortable. The pants do run a little long, but since I’m just wearing them around the house that doesn’t bother me.
Aerie Waffle Oversized Crew Sweater - Aerie is my go-to for loungewear. Their stuff is always so comfortable, the price points are good, and they have sales pretty often. I recently ordered this sweater for winter lounging purposes, and I was so obsessed that I went back and ordered a second color. It’s super soft and also lightweight. I tend to run warm while I sleep, but I can wear this to bed with no problems. I also like that it doesn’t look like pajamas - I can wear this with some skinny jeans or leggings and it would make for a cute outfit! I have the oatmeal color, which I really love, and the light gray is on its way to me now.
Aerie Cable Cardigan - I’ve been crazy for cardigans lately, so why not add one that’s ultra-cozy for around the house? I saw this chunky knit cardigan at Aerie and couldn’t resist. I love a good cable knit, and I love the different cable patterns on this one - I think it makes it really unique! This sweater is actually super heavy and warm, so I know I’ll be getting tons of wear out of it this winter.
Aerie New Love Corded Joggers - Another new favorite from Aerie! Again, I ordered one pair of these, then loved them so much I ordered another pair. I’ve been slowly replacing all my old sweatpants with ones that have pockets - it makes it so much easier to run out the door to walk the dogs if necessary! I love Aerie’s corded loungewear. You’d think they’d be stiff, but they’re so soft and cozy. They’re quite warm, but again not too warm for me to sleep in. I have the green pair and have the tan pair coming soon. There’s a matching cropped hoodie, too, if you wanted to make it a cute set!
Aerie Fleece Turtleneck - This is the last Aerie thing, I swear. But their current loungewear is so good! I just got so sucked in because their loungewear page is displayed by color, which was just too aesthetically-pleasing to click away from. Normally I don’t really wear turtlenecks around the house because they start to feel uncomfortable, but I love this one! The body of this piece is like a soft sweatshirt, and then the turtleneck collar part is a thinner, more drape-y material. It’s more of a cowl-neck, and since it’s not fitted close to my neck it’s really comfortable. I’m so happy about this one because wearing turtlenecks while out and about always makes me feel so cozy, and now I have one I can wear comfortably around the house, too!
J.Crew Polartec Sherpa Fleece Jacket - This is THE softest, most comfortable fleece I’ve ever worn. It’s super warm, but it doesn’t make me too hot. I love the cream-colored fleece with the tan trim, and I love that it closes with snaps instead of a zipper. I always throw this on to go walk the dogs when it’s a little chilly, and lately I’ve been reaching for it a lot if I’m feeling cold while doing things around the house. I’ve also got my eye on the pullover version too - I especially love the green color! (Both of these are currently 45% off with the code FAMILY!)
J.Crew Cloud Fleece Joggers & Hoodie - This is another seriously soft set. While the Lou & Grey set has more of a traditional “sweats” feel, these are a little more stretchy and swingy, if that makes sense. I used to have sweats from Brandy Melville that felt similar. These look a little more put-together than some of my other options here, so I’d be perfectly happy running out to do some errands while wearing these. The pants also don’t break my “must have pockets” rule, and the hoodie also has pockets that don’t make the stomach/waist area look too bulky.
Glossier Hoodie - I can’t talk about cozy clothes without mentioning the Glossier hoodie! It’s super oversized, thick, and soft. I can’t wait to break this out in the winter since it’s so warm. Some sweatshirts can be so thick they feel too rigid, but this is soft enough that the thickness makes it “cushion-y.” The pink one is the classic, but I really love the limited edition Terrazzo version. I have my usual size in everything in this post except for the Glossier hoodie - it’s so oversized that I went down one size. It’s also quite long, so be aware of that, too!
L.L.Bean Flannel Sherpa-Lined Robe - My parents got me this robe for Christmas a couple years ago, and it might be my favorite gift I’ve ever received. It’s ridiculously warm and cozy because of the flannel and sherpa, so I pretty much live in it all winter long. I’ve thrown this on a few times in the morning recently, and it’s actually made me excited for winter!
Amazon Memory Foam Slippers - I’ve always wanted some fancy L.L.Bean or UGG slippers, but right now I can’t justify it because of how much Copper loves stealing my slippers! I have this pair from Amazon and I’ve actually been so impressed. The insoles are cushion-y, so they’re comfortable to wear when I’m on my feet for awhile doing something like cooking, and I like that the soles are a little sturdier so I can wear them to run outside to get the mail or something. They’re warm and comfortable, and despite being slip-ons, they don’t fall off my feet as I’m walking.
