I first reviewed the Jouer Long-Wear Lip Creme Liquid Lipsticks a few months ago, and they've since become my absolute favorites. The formula is just the best. They're some of the most comfortable on the lips that I've tried, and they somehow still last such a long time. They start to fade when eating something greasy of course, but even then they don't smear all over the place. They never get thick or crumbly on the lips, and they layer nicely - this is a plus because you don't have to remove the entire thing to reapply, and it's also great because you can layer the metallic ones over the matte ones. I was so grateful to have been sent their new Lip Creme shades that came out for fall as well as their new Lip Topper, and they've impressed once again.
Buff - a matte peachy nude. This is the one shade from the collection that I can't see myself wearing - it's just too pale for my liking. This one took a little extra work to make it opaque and not streaky, but it really was the only shade with this problem.
Filigree - a metallic champagne. It's got a lovely taupe shade to it that keeps it looking neutral while being a metallic. This one also lets the natural lip shade shine through - it's not totally opaque, but it's not streaky.
Terra - a matte warm neutral shade. This one reminds me a lot of MAC Velvet Teddy. It's not too pink, and not too brown - just the perfect neutral for fall.
Tawny Rose - a matte cool dusty mauve. This one is my favorite of them all, which I'm not surprised by. It's quite similar to Terra but with slightly cooler undertones - you can get away with just getting one or the other (if you prefer warm shades, go for Terra, and for cool shades, pick Tawny Rose).
Snapdragon - a metallic cool plum. This one is just stunning. It's beautifully opaque and not streaky. It reminds me of a more intensely frosted version of MAC Syrup - it's actually a lot more wearable than I thought it would be, and it's probably my second favorite after Tawny Rose.
Penny - a metallic warm copper. I think this is a little too warm for my skintone, but if you're looking for a copper lip, look no further. This one is perfect.
Bronze Rose - a metallic cool deep rose. Ok, maybe this one is my favorite! It's such a beautiful neutral shade, and the shimmer helps make the lips look fuller. I'm going to try mixing this one with Praline from their original shades, and I'll report back!
Dahlia - a cool electric plum. It has some shimmer in it with a slight blue shift, but it's not as much as the other metallic shades. This is quite an "out-there" shade for me, so my brain tells me it looks weird, but I think it's still flattering. It actually reminds me a lot of MAC Rebel and is a perfect plum shade for fall.
Cabernet - a matte cool deep red. This one is showing up a lot lighter in the picture than it is in person. This is just my perfect red. I'm tempted to just get rid of all other red liquid lipsticks because this is all I need.
Brique - a matte warm brick red. Ok, I spoke too soon. This is a perfect 90s red as it's got a bit of a brown tone to it. Warm reds usually don't suit me, but I think that bit of dusty brown to it makes it more wearable, and it's one I can see myself wearing a lot in the fall. Maybe because it looks like autumn leaves!
Tan Lines Lip Topper - the new shade, a metallic shimmering bronze. I'm completely blown away by this formula - it's not a liquid lipstick, yet it's not a gloss. It's more like a velvety balm. It adds the nicest warm bronze over top of any lipstick. In the last two lip swatches above, I've added it on top of Brique, and then the last photo is the lip topper on my bare lips. It's lovely either way. Now I'm tempted to buy the Skinny Dip shade!
I'm so pleased with almost all of the new shades, and I'd highly recommend any of Jouer's liquid lipsticks if you're looking for some new ones to try. Like I said above, the formula is the best I've tried!
Have you tried Jouer's liquid lipsticks before? What fall shade are you most excited for?
Thank you so much to Jouer for sending me their new fall shades to try! All opinions are of course my own. Please see my disclaimer for more information.
